Interested in Employment at the 911 Center

The center is currently staffed by 10 full time employees and maintains minimum staffing of 2 dispatchers per shift. In November of 2004 the center implemented a formal training program for new hires that includes 4 weeks of on the job training with a Communications Training Officer (CTO), in addition to the more than 104 hours of classroom training required within the first six months of hire.  Newly hired dispatchers are held in probationary status during this time and are evaluated daily on their performance during the CTO program.

For more detailed information visit our Employment Link.

The 911 Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  We do not close for holidays, weekends or at night. The opportunity to be off for most holidays, weekends, etc., is rare.

We are a drug free workplace and require all employees to undergo pre-employment and random drug screens.  All employees must pass a thorough background investigation, psychological testing and a physical prior to employment.

We are looking for high quality employees who are seeking a position that is challenging, yet rewarding.  If a job as a Humphreys County Emergency Communications District employee interests you, please download and complete the Employment Application.
